What is Chemical Etching?
Etched thin gauge metal signs are made by chemically etching artwork onto a sheet of metal.

We etch by printing images and graphics on the metal sheet with a screen-printed or UV printed resist. The print resist safeguards the white space around the artwork from being chemically etched. The plate sits in acid for a set amount of time and then is cleaned, painted, and baked.
