What standard plaque finishes are available?
Standard Finish includes:
- Horizontal brushed surface
- One color painted and textured background
- Painted edges (same as background)
Background Textures
Background textures on Cast and Precision Tooled plaques are essential for hiding marks left by production. Sand, leatherette, stipple, and pebble textures are available on both Cast and Tooled plaques and are applied during the finishing stage along with the paint. Classic leather is available in cast only and is an actual "cast-in" texture allowing for a more pronounced relief. Smooth is available only for Etched plaque products.

We have four clear coat options to seal your plaque for a long-lasting installation:
- Satin Clearcoat
- Standard for most plaques.
- Gloss Clearcoat
- Standard for plaques with polished finish.
- Semi-Gloss Clearcoat
- Matte Clearcoat
A clear coat for harsh environments is available upon request at no charge. The harsh environment clear coat option requires the mounting to be either blind studs, screws, or thru holes on the plaque. Gemini recommends you request this clear coat for plaques that are installed on posts, stakes, fences, gates, benches, or other applications where the back will be exposed to the elements.
Note: For precision plaques the horizontal brushed finish is up to 64"w x 38"h. For cast plaques the horizontal brushed finish is up to 84"w x 48"h.
