Gemini adheres .030-inch CHEMETAL metal laminate and our own extruded or cast acrylic.

Metal on acrylic letters can be up to 46 inches. The maximum size for metal on acrylic letters is 46 inches by 95 inches for a single piece.  

How small can metal on acrylic letters be? 

They can be as small as 2 inches.

What thicknesses are available for metal on acrylic letters? 

Metal on acrylic letters are available in eight thicknesses: 

1/8 in 3/16 in 1/4 in 3/8 in 1/2 in 3/4 in 1 in  1 1/2 in

    Typeface/fonts 

    Can metal on acrylic laminate letters and logos be made with custom fonts?  

    Customers can supply custom fonts and vector art for their metal on acrylic letters and logos. We also have a selection of standard fonts to choose from if a custom font or logo is not required.

    • Lowercase letters are 75% of the corresponding uppercase letter price. 
    • Small punctuation marks, such as commas, periods, and dashes, are 33% of the uppercase price. 
    • Logos smaller than 10 inches by 10 inches are priced as a letter using the maximum dimension. 
    • For sizes larger than 24 inches in any dimension or containing thirty-one pieces or cutouts, contact us through Partner Portal for a quote. 

     

    Finishes 

    What finishes are available for metal on acrylic laminate?  

    Metal on acrylic letters and logos have a wide selection of CHEMETAL standard or specialty face finishes. The acrylic edge and back can be painted.

    Pick from our standard paint colors or provide your custom paint color for the acrylic edge and back. 

    Tip: The best value colors are our standard black and platinum grey.

    Install Environment 

    Where can I install metal on acrylic laminate letters and logos? 

    Metal on acrylic letters are for interior use only.  Some interior applications with high moisture areas like fountains or "living" walls may cause the laminate to pull away from the substrate.

    What mounting options are there for metal on acrylic letters? 

    Metal on acrylic letters and logos have seven mounting options.

    Note: Every order comes with a mounting choice and an installation pattern for a seamless installation. 

    Note: * Additional charges apply for full coverage double face tape, combination all, and pad mounting.

     

    Mount_Plain Plain Mount  
    Letters and logos have no mounting holes or hardware. 
    Mount_DF_Tape Double Face Tape Mount 
    This mounting method depends on the material thickness selected as 25mm VHB strips are put on the letter and logo backs.  
    Mount_Stud Stud with Block Mount 
    The letter and logo backs are plastic drilled and tapped blocks glued to the letter back to receive threaded studs. We offer optional alignment for bricks, blocks, or rails. 
    Mount_FlushStud Flush Stud Mount 
    The letter and logo backs need to be at least 1/4 inch thick to be drilled and tapped to receive threaded studs when mounting to a wall. We offer optional alignment for bricks, blocks, or rails. 
    Mount_FullDFT Full Coverage D/F Tape Mount* 
    This mounting method is for letters and logos 4 inches and under. Letters have full coverage double face tape on the letter and logo backs. Contact us through Partner Portal for a quote.
    Mount_CombinationAll Combination All Mount*
    Combination all mount is the same as a stud mount, but with adjustable pads. They provide extra adhesion to the mounting surface.

    Pad Mount*
    Letter and logo backs include plastic pads glued to the back. We offer optional alignment for rails.
