Frequently Asked Questions About Partner Portal

Gemini’s Partner Portal is designed with your experience in mind: making the quoting and ordering streamlined in one convenient location. Here are frequently asked questions during the quoting or ordering experience.

 

How many products can I add to a quote?

There is no limit to how many product lines or materials you can add to a quote.

Note: Quotes with more than 10 product lines might take a little longer to generate a quote PDF because of the size of the document.

 

Can Multi-Product Quoting be used to compare prices of different materials?

With the introduction of the cart screen, you can add more than one product line to compare the pricing. If you do not want to order one of the products, you can simply delete the product that is not needed.

 

What does the Cart icon in the top banner do?

The Cart icon is a new feature on Partner Portal, giving direct access to a summarized view of your quote. The Quote Summary screen to all you to see all items on that quote, the overall pricing summary and the ability to expand and collapse the details of your quote at any time.

 

If I add a product line to my quote, does that mean I am placing an order for the quote?

No. Adding a product line to your quote means you are finalizing the details and saving it to your quote with the Job Name listed in the banner (while editing the quote). This step confirms that all required specifications have been entered. Once saved, the quote will be stored under “Quotes” in your dashboard. To place an order, you must finalize the quote and go to the quote and click “Proceed to Order.”

 

If I add a product line to my quote, can I make changes to it?

Yes, items can be edited as long as the quote is not ordered or submitted for Gemini review. Items added to your quote are accessible through the cart button in the banner of the quote or by clicking the Edit Quote button on your quote summary screen.

 

I have multiple product lines for one project, but I am unsure how to quote it.

There are a few ways to begin a quote:

  1. Select Start a Quote, name your quote, and once you pick a product line and material, you can enter the specifications for Letters, Logos and/or Bars to get a price. Once you are complete with that product line and material, you can select Save to Quote to continue to add another product line.
  2. Select Start a Quote, name your quote, and once you pick a product line and material, you can select the Bypass entering specifications option in the Quoting Options section. The bypass specifications option allows you to request a quote from Gemini without entering each detail. You will need to upload your artwork and files and in the Notes section, enter the details of your project that a rep would need to know if it wasn’t stated on your art. Once submitted, a member of your customer experience team will review your request and provide a quote for you.
  3. Select Start a Quote, name your quote, and choose Pre-fill with Gemini’s Most Popular Specifications option in the Quoting Options section. This will pre-fill your quote options for the product line and material you selected with our most popular offerings, but your dimensions will need to be entered.

 

Can I copy a product line and have my specifications copy forward?

We do not have that feature at this time. You can duplicate a finished quote and update as needed.

Can I update an existing quote to add a new product line?

Yes, Partner Portal created quotes can be updated to add new products without losing anything already added to the quote. If the quote is expired, you will receive a confirmation notice that pricing and product availability may change, however, you will be able to update the quote.

 

Do I have to add more than one product line, or can I just have one product line and material on my quote?

Yes, you can continue to quote a single product. Adding multiple products is optional and based on the needs of your project.

 

Why can’t I add another product to my quote?

Add Another Product Line will be unavailable if:

  1. If Quoting Options Bypass entering specifications is selected, your artwork will identify the products requested with the quote, therefore adding multiple product lines is not necessary.
  2. If Product Line Large Project is selected, your artwork will identify the products requested with the quote, therefore adding multiple product lines is not necessary.
  3. If specifications for a product line are not filled out, you will not be able to add another product line until the required specifications are completed.

 

Where can I upload my artwork?

The Upload Artwork and Additional Files buttons are now located within the Review Your Quote screen accessible through the Cart icon in the banner of a quote.

 

Are these features available via Mobile?

All Partner Portal features are available on web and mobile devices.
