Artwork Best Practices

At every step of your order, we are committed to providing you with helpful assistance. For a smooth order process, we recommend following these best practices for submitting artwork.

What are the best file formats for quotes and orders?

The best files to send to us are:

We have limited ability to handle file types from other software such as .CDR (CorelDraw) or .fs (Flexi) as our art processing is mostly done in Adobe Illustrator. We recommend exporting or saving your files as a PDF.

Note: We require vector art files for most of our products. While we can accept bitmap files such as JPEG, PNG, TIF, or BMP, they cannot be used for cutting paths. Custom orders without vector art will require more time to process. For expedited processing, please supply vector art with your order.

What are Gemini's file requirements?

Accessible files

If you are submitting a PDF file, please make sure it is not password-protected. This will help you save time and avoid any delays in the quote or order process.

When submitting your artwork, make sure to include all order specifications in the quote rather than in the artwork file

If high-resolution images are needed, attach them separately. This helps ensure a smooth order process and avoids any potential delays.

Note: Remember to keep your artwork free of any miscellaneous text or order notes to ensure visibility. In Partner Portal, you can attach your order notes separately from the artwork files.

Convert text to flattened or converted vector art

To avoid any errors or font-matching issues, please send us flattened or converted vector art.

Scale 1:1 or scale noted in order notes

If you have enlarged your file without adjusting the resolution accordingly, the resulting proofs may be of lower quality. To avoid this, make sure to adjust the resolution appropriately if you have scaled your file larger. Icons for Design Guide (5)

Note: If our team detects any possible problems with your artwork, they will collaborate with you to find a solution. You can easily contact them through Partner Portal.

Letters and strokes meet minimum size requirements

Icons for Design Guide (6)

In order to ensure that your design meets our manufacturing requirements, it is important to make sure that letters and strokes meet the minimum size requirements. Specific product size requirements can be found in product specification articles.

If your design falls below these requirements, adjustments will need to be made, such as thickening small strokes.

Note: If you have any questions about special requests for your design, our dedicated team is always available to assist you through Partner Portal.
